Yogurt

he Role of Yogurt in Healthy Digestion

Yogurt contains live cultures of certain beneficial microorganisms known as probiotics. Lactic acid bacteria such as L. acidophilus and L. casei, along with bifodobacteria such as Bifidus regularis are among the most common probiotics found in yogurt and other fermented milk products.

When foods containing probiotics, such as bio-live yogurts, are consumed on a regular basis (daily is best), they provide digestive support by increasing the numbers of good bacteria in the intestines, tipping the balance in favor of the helpful intestinal flora.
